Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Colombo Sri Lanka - Sinharaja (approx. 4 hours drive) (D)

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to Sinharaja (Approx. 4 Hrs drive). Day 1 of your Sri Lanka – A Cultural & Wildlife Tour begins at the Rainforest Ecolodge.

Day 2 - Sinharaja (B,D)

In the morning go on a butterfly watching trek with the hotels’ naturalist as well

Later spend the day trekking at Sinharaja Virgin Rainforest, A UNESCO world heritage site and is undoubtedly a rich treasure trove of nature with a great diversity of habitats.

Day 3 - Sinharaja - Udawalawe - Yala (approx. 4 hour drive) ( B, L,D)

Today, transfer to Yala (Approx. 4 Hrs) visiting Udawalawe National Park en-route. It is mostly famous for the large number of elephants that live there as well as crocodiles and deer and many other animals.

Rest of the day at leisure on AI basis at luxury campsite.

Day 4 - Yala (B,L,D)

Enjoy a morning and afternoon safari at Yala National Park. Apart from the leopards, there are a large number of elephants living in the park. Leopards, spotted deer, sambar, wild board, wild buffaloes, sloth bear, jackal and mangoose can also be seen. The bird life there too is fantastic.

Day 5 - Yala - Galle (approx. 3 hours drive) (B)

Today after a leisure breakfast proceed to Galle (Approx. 3 Hrs drive). Explore Galle Fort in a tuk tuk with its low lined streets and history behind its Rampart. The Fort remains a hive of activity and is one of the few World Heritage listed sites in which a bustling population continues to thrive. The city has a colorful history, with a Dutch atmosphere which is very much alive.

Day 6 - Galle - Mirssa - Galle (B)

Early morning boat ride from Mirssa in search of blue and sperm whale watching and dolphins (seasonal)

Spend the rest of the say at leisure or snorkeling in Hikkaduwa among the corals and fish

Day 7 - Galle - Kosgoda - Negambo (approx. 2.5 hours drive) (B)

Today proceed to Negombo (Approx. 2.5 Hrs drive), visiting the Kosgoda turtle hatchery en-route

In the afternoon, visit Muthurajawela Wetlands with its flora, fauna of marshes and mangrove forests

Visitors can set sail on guided boat rides through the different ecological settings of the marsh sanctuary and the lagoon, or walk in nature trails and watch birds.

Day 8 - Negombo to Airport (approx 15 mins drive) (B)

Today you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to onward destination
