Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

After clearing immigration and customs, our representative will meet you escort you to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi (B)

After breakfast, experience the charm of Delhi. The day begins with the sightseeing of Old Delhi and a visit to the Raj Ghat. Drive past the Red Fort on your way to the Jama Masjit, one of India’s largest mosque. A Tour through the bazaars of Chandni Chowk is followed by a drive past the historical India Gate, the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Parliament House. We conclude the day sightseeing with a visit to the capital’s most striking monument; the 70 meter high Qutab Minar.

Day 3: Delhi / Agra (Approx. 200 kms / 6 hrs) (B)

Leave for Agra after breakfast en-route visit Sikandra. The city named after Sikandra Lodhi holds the legendry tomb of the mighty Akbar. Continue the journey to Agra and visit the Agra Fort. The heavenly sight will appear almost paranormal as you capture the setting sun at the Taj Mahal, the greatest symbol of love and devotion. (Please note Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)

Day 4: Agra / Jaipur (Approx. 205 Kms / 6 hrs) (B)

Early in the morning behold the glorious sight of the sun casting its mellow rays on the Taj Mahal. Sunrise is the best hour to experience the Taj Mahal as the light reflects off the marble to give it a magnificent hue. Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart for Jaipur en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, the sandstone city.

Day 5: Jaipur (B,D)

After breakfast, embark on a half-day excursion trip which will lead you to Amber Fort. En route make a photo stop at the palace of winds, the Hawa Mahal. A visit to the City Palace in the afternoon which now houses the Royal residence and museums with a fine collection of textiles and costumes, armory, manuscripts, paintings followed by a stopover at Jantar Mantar would wrap up the day.

Day 6: Jaipur/ Mandawa (Approx. 180kms /4hrs) (B)

Set forth to Mandawa after breakfast and check-in to the hotel on arrival. Situated in the North Indian state of Rajasthan, the fort town of Mandawa lies in the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. This small town attracts travelers because of its beautifully made forts and palaces, known as Havelis.

Day 7: Mandawa / Bikaner (Approx.164 kms / 4 hrs) (B)

After breakfast drive to Bikaner and check-in to the hotel. Here you will get the opportunity to delve into the depths of the Junagarh Fort which lies to the northeast of the old walled city of Bikaner. This historical monument was built by Raja Rai Singh, a general in Akbar’s army in 1593. The Junagarh Fort’s most unusual feature happens to be that it was built at ground level and not on high ground.

Day 8: Bikaner / Jaisalmer (Approx. 333kms / 8hrs) (B)

Proceed to Jaisalmer after breakfast and check-in to the hotel. Walk along the active and colorful markets of Jaisalmer today evening.

Day 9: Jaisalmer (B)

After breakfast, set out to discover the beauty of the Jaisalmer fort, overlooking the city. This ancient monument, built in 1156 engulfs not only the Jain Temple complex within it but is also famous for its stunning Havelis such as the Patwa Haveli, the Salim Haveli and the Nathmal Haveli. A drive to the Royal Cenotaphs in the evening will reveal to you the beautifully carved ceilings and equestrian statues of the former rulers.

Day 10: Jaisalmer / Jamba (Approx. 205kms / 5hrs) (B,L,D)

After breakfast, drive to Far Horizon’s Dera Dune Retreat at Jamba. World’s first retreat on top of a sand dune, this is a perfect place to get away from the big cities and enjoy the solitude of the desert life. Watch the evening come alive with traditional Rajasthani musicians and dancers from nearby villages.

Day 11: Jamba (B,L,D)

An exciting jeep safari after breakfast will lead you to the surrounding villages. Interaction with the Bishnoi tribes that inhabit this region will expose you to the simplicity of the life of these people. As you follow the 29 (bis-nou) tenets laid down by the 15-century guru, Jambeshwar you will reach the temple of ‘Jambaji,’ the founder of this tribe. Visit the village school and share your craft with them and later explore the local vegetable market. Those interested can enjoy the Rajasthani cooking demonstration before dinner at the retreat.(Optional)

Day 12: Jamba / Jodhpur (Appro. 150kms / 3 hrs) (B)

You depart for Jodhpur after breakfast. Pay an unforgettable visit to the imposing Meherangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph. The evening would be spent in exploring the lively local markets of the city with a concluding visit to the clock tower.

Day 13: Jodhpur / Delhi (Flight 9W3312/ ETD: 1330 / ETA: 1500)

After breakfast, visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace in its entire splendor. This is an incredible art-deco royal residence, as well as a luxury hotel, where the Maharaja of Jodhpur and his family still reside. From there on, leave for the airport to board your flight to Delhi

Day 14: Depart Delhi (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
